The Temple Owls (3-2, 1-0) hosted the University of Texas at San Antonio (2-3, 0-1) on Saturday afternoon from Lincoln Financial Field. Temple’s offense had 309 yards (181 yards passing, 128 yards rushing) and 15 first downs. They scored 10 unanswered points to beat the Roadrunners 27-21.

Temple quarterback Evan Simon completed 16 of 25 passes (64%) for 181 yards, two touchdowns, and five carries for 23 yards. Running back Hunter Smith had eight carries for 74 yards, one rushing touchdown, and one catch for 10 yards.

Tight end Peter Clarke made four catches for 82 yards and one touchdown, while JoJo Bermudez made two catches for nine yards and one touchdown. The defense made 59 tackles, five tackles for loss, three sacks, six pass breakups, and two interceptions.
