The Penn State Nittany Lions (3-2, 0-2) visited the Rose Bowl on Saturday afternoon against the UCLA Bruins (1-4, 1-1). Penn State’s offense had 357 yards (200 yards passing, 157 yards rushing), and 21 first downs to lose their second straight game 42-37. It was Penn State’s second consecutive loss and UCLA’s first win of the season.

Penn State quarterback Drew Allar completed 19 of 26 passes (73%) for 200 yards, two touchdowns, and 11 carries for 78 yards. Running back Kaytron Allen had eight carries for 50 yards and two rushing touchdowns.

Wide receiver Kyron Hudson made four catches for 52 yards and one touchdown, while Khalil Dinkins made three catches for 49 yards and one touchdown. The defense made 77 tackles, nine tackles for loss, three sacks, three pass breakups, and a safety.

Next Saturday, Penn State hosts Northwestern at 3:30 pm on FS1.
