The Ottawa Redblacks re-signed running back Elijah Collins to the practice squad on Friday according to the CFL Transactions page.

Elijah Collins is six foot and weighs 212 pounds. The 25-year-old from Detroit, Michigan, signed with the Ottawa Redblacks on May 5, 2025. In 2025, Collins had eight carries for 25 yards and three catches for 62 yards in two preseason games to earn a spot on the practice squad.

Collins spent two months on the practice squad before he was released on July 30, 2025. Ottawa re-signed Collins to the practice squad on September 16, 2025. They released him on October 2, 2025.

The Cincinnati Bengals signed Collins as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024. In 2024, he had 10 carries for 29 yards, four catches for 39 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in three preseason games. The Bengals released him on August 27, 2024.

Collegiately, Collins played five seasons at Michigan State (2018-22) with 353 carries for 1,506 yards, 11 touchdowns, 36 catches for 260 yards, one touchdown, and six tackles (2 solos, 6 assists) in 26 games for the Spartans. He was named Third Team All-Big Ten in 2019.

Then, he transferred to Oklahoma State in 2023 with 30 carries for 142 yards, two touchdowns, two catches for 19 yards, one kick return for 10 yards, and two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in 10 games for the Cowboys.
