
The St. Louis Battlehawks signed wide receiver Aron Cruickshank on Friday according to James Larsen.
Aron Cruickshank is five foot ten and weighs 170 pounds. The 24-year-old from Brooklyn, New York, signed with the Madrid Bravos (ELF) on January 15, 2025. In 2025, Cruickshank made 122 catches for 1,729 yards, 20 receiving touchdowns, 13 carries for 122 yards, one touchdown, 18 punt returns for 488 yards, and 11 kick returns for 110 yards in 12 games. Cruickshank set a league record with 20 receiving touchdowns and was named ELF’s Offensive Player of the Year.
The Chicago Bears signed Cruickshank as an undrafted free agent on May 5, 2023. Chicago released him on August 11, 2023. The Pittsburgh Steelers signed Cruickshank on August 21, 2023. In 2023, he was targeted three times in one preseason game for the Pittsburgh Steelers against the Atlanta Falcons. The Steelers released him on August 27, 2023.
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed Cruickshank on February 2, 2024. In 2024, he made two catches for 13 yards and three punt returns for eight yards in two preseason games. The Blue Bombers released him on June 2, 2024.
Collegiately, Cruickshank played one season at Wisconsin in 2019, making one catch for 11 yards, six carries for 51 yards, and one touchdown in 13 games for the Badgers.
Then, he transferred to Rutgers (2020-22), making 99 catches for 868 yards, five touchdowns, 21 carries for 171 yards, one touchdown, 58 kick returns for 1,357 yards, two touchdowns, 19 punt returns for 196 yards, and one touchdown in 28 games for the Scarlet Knights. He was named First Team All-Big Ten in 2020.
