
The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed punter Jesse Mirco to the practice squad on Wednesday.
Jesse Mirco is six foot four and weighs 222 pounds. The 28-year-old from Fremantle, Western Australia, was drafted by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the second round (15th pick) of the 2025 CFL Global Draft.
Collegiately, Mirco played three seasons at Ohio State (2021-23) punting the ball 130 times for 5,707 yards (43.9 AVG), with a long of 77 yards, eight touchbacks, 54 fair catches, 55 from inside the 20-yard line, 31 from 50-plus yards, and two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in 39 games for the Buckeyes. Mirco is a member of the 2022 Rose Bowl championship team.
Then, Mirco transferred to Vanderbilt in 2024 punting the ball 51 times for 2,540 yards (48.0 AVG), with a long of 69 yards, 21 from inside the 20-yard line, 20 punts from 50-plus yards, and one carry for nine yards in 13 games for the Commodores. The Commodores won the 2024 Birmingham Bowl. He was named First Team All-SEC in 2024.
