The Montreal Alouettes and wide receiver Tyler Snead agreed to a two-year contract extension through the 2027 season on Tuesday.
Tyler Snead is five foot seven and weighs 174 pounds. The 25-year-old from Raleigh, North Carolina, this year has made 62 catches for 789 yards, three touchdowns, one kick return for 25 yards, and one punt return for 18 yards in 13 games.
The Pittsburgh Steelers signed Snead as an undrafted free agent on May 16, 2022. In 2022, Snead made five catches for 27 yards, one touchdown, and one carry for two yards in three preseason games. The Steelers released him on August 30, 2022.
Then, the Montreal Alouettes signed Snead on January 11, 2023. In 2023, Snead made 56 catches for 788 yards, five touchdowns, and four kick returns for 92 yards in 15 games helping the Alouettes win the 110th Grey Cup over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
In 2024, Snead made two catches for 62 yards and one carry for five yards against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in Week 1 with a foot injury and has missed the last 12 games. He finished the season with 24 catches for 253 yards and two carries for eight yards in seven games.
