The Toronto Argonauts signed wide receiver Tyler Kahmann, offensive lineman Joshua Donovan, and defensive back Nic Toomer to the practice squad on Monday.

Tyler Kahmann is six foot and weighs 207 pounds. The 24-year-old from Haysville, Kansas, signed with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent on May 9, 2025. In 2025, he made two catches for eight yards in three preseason games, making the practice squad. The Colts released him on August 28, 2025.

Collegiately, Kahmann spent six seasons at Emporia State (2019-24) with 281 catches for 3,661 yards, 54 touchdowns, completing one pass for 37 yards, and seven tackles (7 solos) in 47 games for the Hornets. Kahmann was named a two-time First Team All-MIAA, First Team All-American, Second Team All-American by D2CCA, Don Hansen, and the Associated Press, and was named a Team Captain in 2024.

Joshua Donovan is six foot six and weighs 330 pounds. The 26-year-old from College Station, Texas, did not play in the 2025 preseason due to an injury. He was released on May 31, 2025.

Donovan attended the Buffalo Bills rookie minicamp in 2023. The Montreal Alouettes signed Donovan to the practice squad on July 25, 2023. He re-signed with the Alouettes on November 27, 2023.

In 2024, Donovan appeared in 17 games. Montreal averaged 25.3 points per game (5th), 332.9 net offense per game (9th), 84.3 rushing yards per game (8th), 264.4 passing yards per game (7th), and 46 touchdowns (4th). They won the East Division and appeared in the Finals against the Toronto Argonauts.

Collegiately, Donovan played two seasons at Trinity Valley Community College (2017-18) playing 19 games for the Cardinals. He was named First Team All-SWJCFC in 2018 after helping the Cardinals’ running backs average 5.1 yards per carry and 193.0 yards per rushing.

Then, Donovan transferred to Arizona (2019-22) playing right guard in 28 games for the Wildcats. In 2022, Arizona’s offense was ranked sixth in passing offense and 21st in total offense, averaging 30.8 points per game.

Nic Toomer is six foot two and weighs 190 pounds. A native of Tyrone, Georgia, Toomer attended the Philadelphia Eagles rookie minicamp in 2025.

Collegiately, Toomer played four seasons at Stanford (2019-22) with 29 tackles (18 solos, 11 assists), one tackle for loss, and five pass breakups in 21 games for the Cardinal. Next, he transferred to Indiana (2023-24) with 26 tackles (22 solos, 4 assists), three tackles for loss, one sack, one interception, and three pass breakups in 14 games for the Hoosiers.
