
The Montreal Alouettes signed defensive lineman Westley Neal Jr. to a future contract beginning in 2026 on Sunday according to the CFL Transactions page.
Westley Neal Jr. is six foot and weighs 215 pounds. A native of Miami, Florida, Neal Jr. went undrafted in 2025.
Collegiately, he played four seasons at Rhode Island (2021-24) making 121 tackles (66 solos, 55 assists), 19.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, one interception for -5 yards, two pass breakups, and three blocked kicks in 42 games for the Rams. In 2024, he made 41 tackles (22 solos, 19 assists), 6.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, one interception for -5 yards, two pass breakups, and one blocked kick in 14 games. He was invited to play in the Hulu Bowl in 2024.
He was named a two-time Third Team All-CAA by Phil Steele (2023-24), Third Team All-CAA in 2023, First Team All-CAA in 2024, and a Team Captain in 2024.
