The Penn State Nittany Lions (1-0) started the 2025 season on Saturday afternoon from Beaver Stadium against the Nevada Wolf Pack (0-1). The Nittany Lions dominated from the start and ended up beating the Wolf Pack 46-11.

Penn State’s offense had 438 yards (303 yards passing, 135 yards rushing) and committed five penalties for 45 yards. Quarterback Drew Allar completed 22 of 26 passes (84.6%) for 217 yards, one touchdown, and six carries for 20 yards. His touchdown pass happened in the second quarter to Kyron Hudson for 31 yards.

Running back Nicholas Singleton had eight carries for 19 yards and two touchdowns, while Kaytron Allen had eight carries for 43 yards and one touchdown. Kyron Hudson led the receivers making six catches for 89 yards and one touchdown. The defense made 51 tackles, nine tackles for loss, three sacks, two pass breakups, and two fumble recoveries.

Nevada’s offense had 203 yards (125 yards passing, 78 yards rushing) and committed three penalties for 14 yards. Quarterback Chubba Purdy completed 7 of 15 passes (46%) for 97 yards, one interception, and 14 carries for 55 yards. Backup quarterback A.J. Bianco completed 4 of 6 passes (66%) for 28 yards, one touchdown, and one carry for 12 yards.

Running back Ky Woods had one carry for 10 yards. Wide receiver Marcus Bellon led the receivers making six catches for 76 yards and one touchdown. The defense made 79 tackles, six tackles for loss, one sack, and one pass breakup.

Next Saturday, Penn State hosts Florida International at 12 pm on the Big Ten Network.
