The Toronto Argonauts signed quarterback Max Duggan, offensive lineman Dre Doiron, and defensive lineman Joe Wallace on Wednesday.

Max Duggan is six foot one and weighs 207 pounds. The 25-year-old from Council Bluffs, Iowa, signed with the St. Louis Battlehawks on December 19, 2024. In 2025, he completed 63 of 110 passes (57.3%) for 696 yards, four touchdowns, four interceptions, five carries for 59 yards, and five rushing touchdowns in eight games.

In the playoffs, Duggan completed 7 of 14 passes (50%) for 105 yards, one interception, eight carries for 33 yards, and one rushing touchdown. The Battlehawks released him on August 16, 2025.

The Los Angeles Chargers drafted Duggan in the seventh round (239th pick) of the 2023 NFL Draft. He signed with the Chargers on May 12, 2023.

In 2023, Duggan completed 6 of 12 passes (50%) for 34 yards, one touchdown, and 10 carries for 71 yards in two preseason games. He spent the majority of the 2023 season on the practice squad. In 2024, Duggan completed 4 of 7 passes (57.1%) for 41 yards and two carries for 15 yards in two preseason games. The Chargers released him on August 19, 2024.

Collegiately, Duggan played four seasons at TCU (2019-22) completing 739 of 1,225 passes (60%) for 9,618 yards, 73 touchdowns, 28 interceptions, 488 carries for 1,856 yards, 28 touchdowns, two catches for one yard, and two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in 47 games for the Horned Frogs.

Duggan led the Horned Frogs to the CFP National Championship Game against Georgia in 2023. In that game, he completed 14 of 22 passes (63.6%) for 152 yards, two interceptions, 10 carries for -38 yards, and one touchdown. In 2022, Duggan was named First Team All-Big XII, Second Team All-American, Big XII Athlete of the Year, Big XII Offensive Player of the Year, and the winner of the Davey O’Brien Award, Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, Bob Bowlsby Award, and the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award.

Dre Doiron is six foot four and weighs 303 pounds. The 24-year-old from London, Ontario, was drafted by the B.C. Lions in the fifth round (41st pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft. In 2025, he played two preseason games. The Lions released him on May 31, 2025.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed Doiron on July 14, 2025. He spent over a month on the practice squad. The Roughriders released him on August 20, 2025.

Collegiately, Doiron played one season at Buffalo in 2021 playing 12 games, and started 10 at right tackle. In 2021, Buffalo averaged 29.25 points per game, 195.5 rushing yards per game, 214.92 passing yards per game, 410.4 total yards per game, 44 touchdowns, and allowed 16 tackles finishing 4-8 for the season. He was named Academic All-MAC.

Then, he transferred to Kansas (2022-24) playing 14 games for the Jayhawks. In 2024, Kansas averaged 29.67 points per game, 212.1 rushing yards per game, 208.75 passing yards per game, 420.8 total yards per game, 46 touchdowns, and allowed 10 sacks finishing 5-7 for the season.

Joe Wallace is six foot one and weighs 300 pounds. The 27-year-old from Dallas, Texas, re-signed with the D.C. Defenders on October 1, 2024. In 2025, he made 38 tackles (21 solos, 17 assists), 10 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, one fumble recovery, and one pass breakup in 10 games.

In the playoffs, Wallace made four tackles (2 solos, 2 assists), one tackle for loss, and one sack in two games helping the Defenders win the UFL Championship over the Michigan Panthers. He was named to the All-UFL Team. The Defenders released him on August 16, 2025.

The D.C. Defenders drafted Wallace in the eighth round (60th pick) in Phase 3 of the 2022 XFL Draft. In 2023, Wallace made 21 tackles (9 solos, 12 assists), six tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, one sack, two pass breakups, and two quarterback hits in 10 games.

In 2024, he made seven tackles (4 solos, 3 assists) and two tackles for loss in four games before he was placed on injured reserve and missed the rest of the 2024 season.

Collegiately, Wallace played three seasons at Texas Tech (2016-18) with 47 tackles (30 solos, 17 assists), seven tackles for loss, two sacks, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 20 games for the Red Raiders.

Then, Wallace transferred to Sam Houston State (2019-21) with 77 tackles (47 solos, 30 assists), 24.5 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, one pass breakup, four forced fumbles, and one blocked kick in 34 games for the Bearkats. He was named First Team All-Southland Conference in 2021.
