The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed kicker Campbell Fair to the practice squad on Wednesday. To make room for Fair, the Roughriders released offensive lineman Dre Doiron.
Campbell Fair is six foot one and weighs 165 pounds. The 25-year-old from Carrying Place, Ontario, re-signed with the Edmonton Elks on December 6, 2024. In 2025, he punted the ball two times for 86 yards (43 AVG) in one preseason game against the Calgary Stampeders last week. The Elks released him on May 28, 2025.
The Calgary Stampeders drafted Fair in the sixth round (51st pick) in the 2023 CFL Draft. He had a brief stint in Calgary before joining the Saskatchewan Roughriders practice squad upon returning to the University of Ottawa.
Fair re-signed with the Calgary Stampeders on November 20, 2023. Fair played two preseason games making 6 of 6 field goals with a long of 34 yards, converted four extra points, and 12 kickoffs for 771 yards. The Stampeders released him on June 1, 2024. The Edmonton Elks signed Fair on September 14, 2024, and spent a month on the practice squad. The Elks released him on October 13, 2024.
Collegiately, Fair played five seasons at the University of Ottawa (2018-23) converting 62 of 88 field goals (70%) with a long of 55 yards, making 80 of 83 extra points (266 points), 153 punts for 6,017 yards with a long of 68 yards, and 22 punts from inside the 20-yard line.
He was named an OUA Second Team All-Star and the Chris Evraire Award for Outstanding Special Teams Player in 2022.
Dre Doiron is six foot four and weighs 303 pounds. The 24-year-old from London, Ontario, was drafted by the B.C. Lions in the fifth round (41st pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft. In 2025, he played two preseason games. The Lions released him on May 31, 2025. The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed Doiron on July 14, 2025. He spent over a month on the practice squad.
Collegiately, Doiron played one season at Buffalo in 2021 playing 12 games, and started 10 at right tackle. In 2021, Buffalo averaged 29.25 points per game, 195.5 rushing yards per game, 214.92 passing yards per game, 410.4 total yards per game, 44 touchdowns, and allowed 16 tackles finishing 4-8 for the season. He was named Academic All-MAC.
Then, he transferred to Kansas (2022-24) playing 14 games for the Jayhawks. In 2024, Kansas averaged 29.67 points per game, 212.1 rushing yards per game, 208.75 passing yards per game, 420.8 total yards per game, 46 touchdowns, and allowed 10 sacks finishing 5-7 for the season.
