Edmonton Elks sign wide receiver Odieu Hiliare

The Edmonton Elks signed wide receiver Odieu Hiliare to the practice squad on Tuesday according to the CFL Transactions page.

O.J. Hiliare is six foot and weighs 185 pounds. The 24-year-old from Belle Glade, Florida, re-signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on January 14, 2025. In 2025, he made two catches for 26 yards in two preseason games. The Ticats released him on May 31, 2025.

The Atlanta Falcons signed Hiliare as an undrafted free agent on May 22, 2024. He made two catches for 32 yards and one kick return for 25 yards in three preseason games. The Falcons released him on August 27, 2024. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed Hiliare on September 17, 2024, and spent the season on the practice squad. The Ticats released him on October 26, 2024.

Collegiately, Hiliare played three seasons at Alabama A&M (2019-21) making 102 catches for 1,365 yards, 13 touchdowns, two carries for six yards, completing one pass for 48 yards, one touchdown, 17 kick returns for 327 yards, 16 punt returns for 141 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 24 games for the Bulldogs.

Then, Hiliare transferred to Bowling Green (2022-23) making 103 catches for 1,279 yards, 10 touchdowns, seven carries for 17 yards, and three kick returns for 50 yards in 26 games for the Falcons.
