
The Birmingham Stallions re-signed defensive end Steve Linton on Friday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Steven Linton is six foot five and weighs 237 pounds. The 25-year-old from Dublin, Georgia, went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Birmingham Stallions signed Linton on May 20, 2025. In 2025, he made two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in one game. In the playoffs, he made two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist).
Collegiately, Linton played four seasons at Syracuse (2019-22) making 45 tackles (26 solos, 19 assists), 8.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, one pass breakup, one forced fumble, and three fumble recoveries in 29 games for the Orange.
Next, he transferred to Texas Tech in 2023 making 22 tackles (13 solos, 9 assists), 4.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in eight games for the Red Raiders. Then, he transferred to Baylor in 2024 making 25 tackles (24 solos, 1 assist), seven tackles for loss, three sacks, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in nine games for the Bears.
