The Memphis Showboats signed wide receiver Duane Brown on Saturday according to the X account WPIAL Insider.
Duane Brown is six foot and weighs 190 pounds. A native of Spring Church, Pennsylvania, signed with the Albany Firebirds of the Arena Football One League on December 5, 2024.
In 2025, Brown made 61 catches for 909 yards, 30 touchdowns, two carries for 12 yards, and four tackles (4 solos) in 10 games. In the AF1 playoffs, he made 12 catches for 143 yards and three touchdowns to help Albany win the Arena Crown championship over the Salina Liberty. The Firebirds finished 10-0 for the season. Brown was named the AF1 Offensive Player of the Year.
In 2024, Brown played for the Billings Outlaws of the Arena Football League. He made 32 catches for 448 yards, nine touchdowns, one carry for 27 yards, 10 tackles (8 solos, 2 assists), 16 kick returns for 296 yards, and one touchdown in seven games. In the playoffs, he made 15 catches for 178 yards, five touchdowns, two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist), and two kick returns for 73 yards helping the Outlaws beat the Firebirds in ArenaBowl XXXIII.
Collegiately, Brown played four seasons at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (2017, 2019, 2021-22) making 176 catches for 2,884 yards, 38 touchdowns, 134 carries for 655 yards, 12 touchdowns, 10 kick returns for 195 yards, 37 punt returns for 419 yards, and four tackles (4 solos) in 43 games for the Hawks.
Brown was named a three-time First Team All-PSAC (2019, 2021, 2022), PSAC Offensive Player of the Year in 2022, First Team All-American by Don Hanson in 2022, and Second Team All-American by AFCA and Associated Press. He finished second in program history with 50 touchdowns.
