The Memphis Showboats released running back Deneric Prince on Sunday as he signed with the New England Patriots according to Matt Zenitz, and signed wide receiver Isiah Scott as reported by James Larsen.
Deneric Pince is six foot and weighs 216 pounds. The 25-year-old from Manvel, Texas, signed with the Memphis Showboats on February 5, 2025. In 2025, he had 107 carries for 337 yards, two rushing touchdowns, 18 catches for 110 yards, and 11 kick returns for 219 yards in 10 games.
The Kansas City Chiefs signed Prince as an undrafted free agent on May 8, 2023. In 2023, he had 22 carries for 79 yards, one touchdown, three catches for 10 yards, six kick returns for 112 yards, and one tackle (1 assist) in three preseason games. He dressed for two regular season games in 2023.
In 2024, he had 14 carries for 62 yards, four catches for 20 yards, and one kick return for 25 yards in three preseason games. The Chiefs released him on August 27, 2024. The Miami Dolphins signed Prince on August 30, 2024. He spent the season on the practice squad.
Collegiately, Prince played one season at Texas A&M in 2018 with two carries for 21 yards in one game for the Aggies. Then, he transferred to Tulsa (2020-22) with 314 carries for 1,723 yards, 14 touchdowns, 17 catches for 162 yards, one touchdown, and four kick returns for 68 yards in 26 games for the Golden Hurricanes.
Isiah Scott is six foot three and weighs 215 pounds. A native of Hubbard, Ohio, Scott played for the Arizona Rattlers in 2023 making nine catches for 139 yards, three touchdowns, two carries for -4 yards, and four tackles (1 solo, 3 assists) in five games.
In 2024, he split his time between the West Texas Desert Hawks and Oregon Blackbears. In West Texas, Scott made 12 catches for 192 yards, six touchdowns, six carries for nine yards, three kick returns for 78 yards, one touchdown, and one tackle (1 solo) in two games, while in Oregon made four catches for 16 yards, two touchdowns, and four tackles (4 solos) in one game.
Scott signed with the Albany Firebirds for their playoff run on June 30, 2024. He made 10 catches for 101 yards, one touchdown, and two tackles (2 solos) when Albany appeared in ArenaBowl XXXIII against the Billings Outlaws.
The Albany Firebird re-signed Scott on November 12, 2024. In 2025, he made 36 catches for 483 yards, 10 touchdowns, and four tackles (4 solos) in 10 games. In the playoffs, he made 13 catches for 234 yards, four touchdowns, and four carries for 17 yards in two games helping the Firebirds win the Arena Crown championship over the Salina Liberty.
After the season, Scott signed with the Tulsa Oilers of the Indoor Football League on July 17, 2025. Scott made eight catches for 89 yards and four touchdowns in two games.
Collegiately, Scott played three seasons at Youngstown State (2015-17) making 14 catches for 155 yards, one touchdown, and one tackle (1 solo) in 26 games for the Penguins. Then, he transferred to West Virginia State University in 2019 making 59 catches for 1,003 yards, 11 touchdowns, and two tackles (2 solos) in 11 games for the Yellow Jackets.
