NTT IndyCar Series BITNILE.com Grand Prix of Portland Starting Lineup

The NTT IndyCar Series held qualifying on Saturday afternoon to set the field for Sunday’s BITNILE.com Grand Prix of Portland from Portland International Raceway in Portland, Oregon.

The big story heading into qualifying was that four drivers were issued a six-place grid penalty. They were Kyffin Simpson (avoidable contact) during practice, Christian Lundgaard, Josef Newgarden, and Santino Ferrucci (engine changes).

Christian Lundgaard won his first pole of the season with a lap time of 58.3939 seconds at 121.081 mph. His teammate, Pato O’Ward, will start second with a lap time of 58.5343 seconds at 120.791 mph.

The BITNILE.com Grand Prix of Portland gets underway on Sunday at 3 pm on Fox.
