The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series visited Watkins Glen International on Friday evening in the Mission 176 at The Glen. Corey Heim started the race on the pole, and Christopher Bell started second.
Corey Heim led 44 of 81 laps to win his fourth consecutive road win and the sixth win of the season. After Ben Rhodes lost a left rear wheel and spun at Turn 6. Late in the race, Giovanni Ruggiero and Connor Mosack made contact, leading to Mosack spinning at the exit of the bus stop leading to a four-truck crash, sending the race to overtime.
In the first overtime, Grant Enfinger and Jake Garcia made contact to bring out the caution. In the second overtime, Heim cleared Daniel Hemric. Hemric did challenge Heim for the lead, but Heim held on to beat Hemric by 0.215 seconds. Gio Ruggiero, Christopher Bell, and Tyler Ankrum rounded out the top five.
Sammy Smith, Ty Majeski, Connor Zilisch, Matt Mills, and Layne Riggs rounded out the top ten. There were nine cautions for 26 laps, eight lead changes among six drivers, and 11 drivers did not finish the race.
The Craftsman Truck Series heads to Richmond Raceway next Friday at 7:30 pm on FS1.
