The Montreal Alouettes signed linebacker Caleb Johnson, and defensive backs Don Callis, Ciante Evans, and Brandin Dandridge on Tuesday. The team also released defensive lineman Antonio Moultrie.

Caleb Johnson is six foot one and weighs 235 pounds. The 26-year-old from Murrieta, California, signed with the Arlington Renegades on November 13, 2024. In 2025, he made 19 tackles (13 solos, 6 assists), two tackles for loss, and one sack in ten games.

The Montreal Alouettes signed Johnson to the practice squad on July 1, 2025. However, Johnson was still under contract with the Arlington Renegades when he signed with Montreal. The Renegades released him on August 1, 2025.

The New York Jets signed Johnson as an undrafted free agent on May 5, 2023. In 2023, Johnson made 13 tackles (5 solos, 8 assists) in four preseason games. He started the season on the practice squad. The Jets released him on September 12, 2023.

For the rest of the 2023 season, he was on the practice squads of both the Pittsburgh Steelers and Arizona Cardinals. Then, Johnson signed with the Cleveland Browns on January 17, 2024. In 2024, he made 14 tackles (8 solos, 6 assists) in three preseason games. The Browns released him on August 26, 2024.

Collegiately, Johnson played one season at Fullerton College in 2017 making 41 tackles (29 solos, 12 assists), 8.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one pass breakup in 13 games for the Hornets. The Hornets won the CCCAA state championship in 2017.

Next, Johnson transferred to Texas in 2019 making one tackle (1 solo) in three games for the Longhorns. Then, he transferred to UCLA (2020-21) making 89 tackles (50 solo, 39 assists), seven tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, two interceptions for 47 yards, five pass breakups, and one fumble recovery in 18 games for the Bruins.

Johnson concluded his collegiate career at Miami (FL) in 2022 making 48 tackles (26 solos, 22 assists), four tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles in 12 games for the Hurricanes.

Don Callis is six foot and weighs 184 pounds. The 24-year-old from Los Angeles, California, signed with the Montreal Alouettes on April 14, 2025. In 2025, he made five tackles and one tackle on special teams in two preseason games. He spent over a month on the practice squad. The Alouettes released him on July 11, 2025.

Callis attended the San Francisco 49ers rookie minicamp in 2024 before signing with the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent on July 30, 2024. He did not play in the preseason due to an injury and was released on August 13, 2024.

Collegiately, Callis played four seasons at East Central University (Oklahoma) (2019-22) making 77 tackles (47 solos, 30 assists), three tackles for loss, three interceptions for 35 yards, 20 pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 27 games for the Tigers.

Then, he transferred to Troy in 2023 making 26 tackles (13 solos, 13 assists), one tackle for loss, one sack, four pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 14 games for the Trojans.

Ciante Evans is five foot eleven and weighs 195 pounds. The 32-year-old from Fort Worth, Texas, signed with the Toronto Argonauts on February 12, 2025. In 2025, Evans played two preseason games recording no stats. The Argonauts released him on May 31, 2025.

Evans attended the Chicago Bears rookie minicamp in 2014. Next, he signed with the Calgary Stampeders in 2015 playing four seasons making 127 tackles, one tackle on special teams, nine interceptions, 14 pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 48 games. In 2018, he helped the Stampeders beat the Ottawa Redblacks in the 106th Grey Cup.

In 2019, Evans played for the Salt Lake Stallions (AAF) making four tackles in four games before the league ceased operations after eight weeks into the regular season. Then, Evans signed with the Montreal Alouettes making 29 tackles and three interceptions for 61 yards in 13 games.

After the CFL season was canceled in 2020, Evans signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on February 9, 2021. He played two seasons in Hamilton with 69 tackles, two interceptions for 22 yards, and one punt return in 26 games.

The Montreal Alouettes signed Evans as a free agent on February 17, 2023. In 2023, he made 25 tackles and three interceptions in 11 games helping them win the 110th Grey Cup over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. The B.C. Lions signed Evans on February 14, 2024. In 2024, 31 tackles and two interceptions in 13 games.

Collegiately, Evans played four seasons at Nebraska (2010-13) making 143 tackles (92 solos, 51 assists), 15 tackles for loss, five sacks, five interceptions for 56 yards, two touchdowns, ten pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 48 games for the Cornhuskers. He is a two-time First-Team All-Big 10.

Brandin Dandridge is five foot eleven and weighs 183 pounds. The 28-year-old from Lee’s Summit, Missouri, made 28 tackles, two interceptions, one forced fumble, five kick returns for 92 yards, and seven punt returns for 52 yards in nine games for the Redblacks in 2024. The Redblacks released him on January 29, 2025.

The Ottawa Redblacks signed Dandridge as a free agent on August 20, 2019. The Redblacks released him on February 7, 2022, and he signed with the Kansas City Chiefs on the same day. In 2022, he made one pass breakup in two preseason games. The Chiefs released him on August 22, 2022.

The Ottawa Redblacks re-signed Dandridge on September 6, 2022. In 2022, Dandridge made 14 tackles and two forced fumbles in six games. In 2023, he made 24 tackles, five interceptions, two touchdowns, one forced fumble, 15 kick returns for 328 yards, 44 punt returns for 539 yards, and one touchdown in 13 games.

In five seasons with the Ottawa Redblacks, Dandridge made 89 tackles, one tackle on special teams, 11 interceptions, two touchdowns, four forced fumbles, 20 kick returns for 420 yards, 51 punt returns for 591 yards, and one touchdown in 38 games.

Collegiately, Dandridge played five seasons at Missouri Western State (2014-18) making 131 tackles (90 solos, 41 assists), half a tackle for loss, 12 interceptions 77 yards, 50 pass breakups, one forced fumble, four fumble recoveries, one blocked punt, two kick returns for 43 yards, 27 punt returns for 361 yards, and one touchdown in 46 games for the Griffins. He was named Second Team All-MIAA (Defensive Back) and First Team All-MIAA (Returner) in 2018.

Antonio Moultrie is six foot four and weighs 275 pounds. The 26-year-old from Pensacola, Florida, did not play for the Alouettes in 2025.

The Green Bay Packers signed Moultrie as an undrafted free agent on May 8, 2023. In 2023, he made two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in two preseason games. The Packers released him on August 29, 2023. The Montreal Alouettes signed Moultrie on January 15, 2024. In 2024, he made 18 tackles and one sack in 14 games.

Collegiately, Moultrie played one season at Northeast Mississippi Community College in 2017 with 19 tackles (6 solos, 13 assists), three tackles for loss, and one pass breakup in eight games for the Tigers. Next, he transferred to UAB (2018-21) with 110 tackles (45 solos, 65 assists), 10.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, one interception, four pass breakups, and one fumble recovery in 37 games for the Blazers. He was a Second Team All-C-USA in 2020.

Then, Moultrie transferred to Miami (FL) in 2022 with 14 tackles (7 solos, 7 assists), two tackles for loss, half a sack, and one forced fumble in ten games for the Hurricanes.
