The NASCAR Xfinity Series visited Iowa Speedway on Saturday afternoon in the HyVee Perks 250. Jesse Love started the race on the pole, and William Sawalich started second.

On the third lap, the first caution came out when Austin Dillon and Ryan Sieg made contact at Turn 2. Jesse Love and Connor Zilisch traded the lead a couple of times. Love led two laps and Zilisch led 62 laps, including winning the first stage. During the caution, Zilisch had to pit again for a loose left front wheel.

Jesse Love was the new leader to start the second stage on lap 71. Twenty laps in the second stage, the third caution came out when Ryan Ellis slid up the track at Turn 3 and hit Anthony Alfredo. Ross Chastain led 41 laps to win the second stage.

Sammy Smith and Ross Chastain were on the front row to start the final stage. During the final stage, there were five cautions, including on lap 138 when Dean Thompson made contact with Corey Day at Turn 4. Daniel Dye crashed at Turn 4 on lap 224, and Brandon Jones spun at Turn 2. Ross Chastain dominated the final stage leading 79 laps.

Sam Mayer took the lead on lap 223 just before Jones spun. Late in the race, Mayer cleared Jesse Love to keep the lead. Mayer led the final 28 laps to win his first race of the season over Jesse Love. The race ended under caution when Garrett Smithley spun at Turn 2. It was his eighth career win in the Xfinity Series. Ross Chastain, Connor Zilisch, and Harrison Burton rounded out the top five.

Carson Hocevar, Sheldon Creed, Ryan Sieg, Carson Kvapil, and Christian Eckes rounded out the top ten. Ross Chastain led the most laps (120), and Connor Zilisch led 62 laps. There were 13 lead changes among eight drivers. There were nine cautions for 61 laps.

The Xfinity Series heads to Watkins Glen International next Saturday at 3 pm on The CW.
