
The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship visited Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. The No. 93 Acura Meyer Shank Racing w/Curb Agajanian of Renger van der Zande and Nick Yelloly were on the pole in GTP. The No. 99 AO Racing of P.J. Hyett and Dane Cameron started on the pole in LMP2.
The No. 57 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG of Russell Ward and Philip Ellis started on the pole in GTD, and the No. 81 DragonSpeed Ferrari 296 of Albert Costa and Giacomo Altoè started on the pole in GTD Pro.
In GTP, both BMW M Team RLL cars, the No. 24 of Philipp Eng and Dries Vanthoor, and the No. 25 of Marco Wittmann and Sheldon van der Linde, both went to pit road with an hour left of the race. A late caution with seven minutes helped the No. 25 and the No. 24 finish 1-2 in GTP.
It was the second win of the season for the No. 24 BMW M Team RLL. There were five cautions throughout the race.
In LMP2, the No. 99 AO Racing of P.J. Hyett and Dane Cameron won their second consecutive race, beating the No. 43 Inter Europol Competition of Connor De Phillippi and Jeremy Clarke.
In GTD Pro, the No. 1 Paul Miller Racing BMW M4 GT3 of Neil Verhagen and Madison Snow beat the No. 64 Ford Multimatic Motorsports Ford Mustang GT3 of Mike Rockenfeller and Sebastian Priaulx.
In GTD, the No. 021 Triarsi Competizione Ferrari 296 GT3 of Onofrio Triarsi and Kenton Koch took the lead with seven minutes left of the race to win. The No. 78 Forte Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 of Mario Farnbacher and Misha Goikhberg finished second.
The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship returns on Sunday, August 24, 2025, from Virginia International Raceway for the Michelin GT Challenge at VIR at 2 pm on Peacock and USA Network.
