
The San Antonio Brahmas released wide receiver Jacob Harris on Saturday according to Pro Football Newsroom reporter James Larsen as he signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Jacob Harris is six foot five and weighs 211 pounds. The 28-year-old from Palm Harbor, Florida, signed with the San Antonio Brahmas on January 14, 2025. In 2025, he made 18 catches for 295 yards in nine games.
The Los Angeles Chargers drafted Harris in the fourth round (141st pick) of the 2021 NFL Draft. He played two seasons in Los Angeles making one catch for six yards and two tackles (2 solos) in 16 games. Harris was on the practice squad when the Rams won Super Bowl LVI.
Harris also spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Philadelphia Eagles. In 2024, he made three catches for 21 yards and one tackle (1 assist) in three preseason games for the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles released him on October 15, 2024.
Collegiately, Harris started at Western Kentucky in 2015 but did not see any action for the Hilltoppers. Then, he transferred to UCF (2018-20) making 49 catches for 987 yards, eight touchdowns, nine tackles (9 solos), and one fumble recovery in 36 games for the Knights.
