The Memphis Showboats released defensive end Jaylon Allen on Tuesday as he is signing with the San Francisco 49ers.

Jaylon Allen is six foot three and weighs 240 pounds. The 25-year-old from Humble, Texas, signed with the Memphis Showboats on December 9, 2024. In 2025, Allen made 23 tackles (12 solos, 11 assists), one tackle for loss, 1.5 sacks, and one forced fumble in 10 games.

The Denver Broncos signed Allen as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024. In 2024, Allen played in one preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts recording no stats. The Broncos released him on August 14, 2024.

Collegiately, Allen played five seasons at Memphis (2019-23) making 150 tackles (77 solos, 73 assists), 25.5 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, one interception for 39 yards, one touchdown, five pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries in 60 games for the Tigers.

In 2023, Allen made 40 tackles (23 solos, 17 assists), seven tackles for loss, two sacks, two pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 13 games. He was named a two-time Fourth Team All-AAC by Phil Steele (2022-23), All-AAC Honorable Mention in 2022, and Second Team All-AAC in 2023.
