The Montreal Alouettes signed wide receivers Jose Barbon, Kaseem Ferdinand, Tyjon Lindsey, and defensive lineman Philippe Lemieux-Cardinal to the practice squad on Monday. The team also announced they released wide receiver Lincoln Victor from the practice squad.
Jose Barbon is six foot and weighs 185 pounds. The 25-year-old from Havana, Cuba, and raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, made three catches for 63 yards in two preseason games. The Alouettes released him on May 31, 2025.
Barbon signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2023. He played three preseason games with one catch for six yards. The Calgary Stampeders signed Barbon on October 9, 2023, and he was placed on the practice squad.
The Montreal Alouettes signed Barbon on January 4, 2024. He made six catches for 45 yards and one touchdown in two preseason games to earn a spot on the practice squad. In 2024, Barbon made three catches for 17 yards in two games. The Alouettes released him on November 10, 2024. Montreal re-signed Barbon on December 2, 2024.
Collegiately, Barbon played four seasons at Temple (2019-22) with 138 catches for 1,608 yards (38.3 AVG/G), four touchdowns, three carries for 34 yards, one kick return for three yards, and four punt returns for four yards in 42 games for the Owls. He earned All-AAC Honorable Mention in 2022.
Kaseem Ferdinand is five foot nine and weighs 176 pounds. The 23-year-old from Ottawa, Ontario, went undrafted in the 2025 CFL Draft. The Montreal Alouettes signed Ferdinand on May 13, 2025. In 2025, he made one catch for 14 yards in one preseason game. The Alouettes released him on May 31, 2025.
Collegiately, Ferdinand played four seasons at Carleton (2021-24) making 147 catches for 1,836 yards (63.3 AVG/G), 18 touchdowns, 13 carries for 80 yards, three kick returns for 64 yards, 61 punt returns for 748 yards, and two tackles (2 solos) in 29 games for the Ravens. In 2024, he made 42 catches for 645 yards, six touchdowns, and 14 punt returns for 164 yards in eight games.
Tyjon Lindsey is five foot eight and weighs 171 pounds. The 26-year-old from Corona, California, made eight catches for 71 yards, one touchdown, two kick returns for 45 yards, and four punt returns for 48 yards in two preseason games. The Alouettes released him on May 31, 2025.
The Seattle Seahawks signed Lindsey as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. In 2023, he made five catches for 64 yards, one kick return for 16 yards, and two punt returns for 36 yards in three preseason games. The Seahawks released him on November 7, 2023.
The Montreal Alouettes signed Lindsey on January 30, 2024. In 2024, he made one catch for 39 yards, four kick returns for 55 yards, and three punt returns for 13 yards in one game. He spent the majority of the season on the practice squad.

Then, he transferred to Oregon State (2019-22) making 75 catches for 917 yards, nine touchdowns, 25 carries for 184 yards, three touchdowns, and completed 4 of 5 passes (80%) for 115 yards, and one touchdown in 39 games for the Beavers.
Philippe Lemieux-Cardinal is six foot five and weighs 252 pounds. The 28-year-old from Montreal, Quebec, went undrafted in the 2022 CFL Draft. He signed with the Ottawa Redblacks on January 21, 2023. He was released by the Redblacks on May 22, 2023.
The Montreal Alouettes signed Lemieux-Cardinal on September 1, 2024. He appeared in one game against the Calgary Stampeders in Week 15 recording no stats. The Alouettes released him on September 27, 2024. Montreal re-signed Lemieux-Cardinal on October 23, 2024, and spent the rest of the season on the practice squad. The Alouettes released him on November 10, 2024.
Collegiately, Lemieux-Cardinal played six seasons at the University of Montreal (2017-19, 2021-22) making 85 tackles (60 solos, 25 assists), 20 tackles for loss, 19.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, seven pass breakups, one interception, and one touchdown in 35 games for the Carabins. He was named U Sports First All-Star Team, RSEQ Lineman of the Year, and RSEQ All-Star Defensive Team.
In 2022, he made 17 tackles, 5.5 sacks, one fumble recovery, and two pass breakups in seven games. The Montreal Carabins finished in second place with a 6-2 record and lost the Dunsmore Cup to Laval 25-24. Lemieux-Cardinal was named U Sports Second All-Star and RSEQ All-Star Defensive Team in 2022.
Lincoln Victor is five foot nine and weighs 177 pounds. The 24-year-old from Maui, Hawaii, signed with the Ottawa Redblacks on January 14, 2025. In 2025, he made five catches for 29 yards, three kick returns for 59 yards, and five punt returns for 96 yards in two preseason games. The Redblacks released him on May 31, 2025. The Montreal Alouettes signed Victor on July 20, 2025. He spent six days on the practice squad.
The Denver Broncos signed Victory as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024, but he was released on May 13, 2024. The Ottawa Redblacks signed Victor on September 18, 2024, and spent over a month on the practice squad. The Redblacks released him on November 3, 2024.
Collegiately, Victor played two seasons at Hawaii (2019-20) making 12 catches for 103 yards, three touchdowns, two carries for 49 yards, and 23 kick returns for 511 yards in 17 games for the Rainbow Warriors.
