The D.C. Defenders released wide receiver Seth Williams on Wednesday as he signed with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Seth Williams is six foot three and weighs 211 pounds. The 25-year-old from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, signed with the D.C. Defenders on May 13, 2025. In 2025, he made eight catches for 63 yards and one touchdown in two games. In the playoffs, he made three catches for 107 yards and one touchdown in two games helping the Defenders win the UFL Championship.

The Denver Broncos drafted Williams in the sixth round (219th pick) of the 2021 NFL Draft. In 2021, Williams made two catches for 46 yards in three preseason games. In the regular season, he made one catch for 34 yards in two games. In 2022, he made 10 catches for 105 yards and one touchdown in three preseason games. The Broncos released him on August 30, 2022.

The Jacksonville Jaguars signed Williams on September 2, 2022. He spent the season on the practice squad. In 2023, he made seven catches for 109 yards and one tackle (1 solo) in three preseason games. Williams was on Jacksonville’s practice squad in 2023.

Jacksonville re-signed him on January 9, 2024, and released him on August 25, 2024. Then, the Dallas Cowboys signed Williams on October 9, 2024. He spent the 2024 season on their practice squad. Williams re-signed with the Dallas Cowboys on January 6, 2025. The Cowboys released him on May 7, 2025.

Collegiately, Williams played three seasons at Auburn (2018-20) making 132 catches for 2,124 yards and 17 touchdowns in 36 games for the Tigers.
