The NTT IndyCar Series visited Iowa Speedway to kick off a doubleheader on Saturday in the Synk 275 powered by Sukup. Josef Newgarden started the race on the pole, with Alex Palou starting second.

The race started under caution when Colton Herta spun on the frontstretch. It was one of six cautions throughout the race. The rest of the cautions were drivers losing control and hitting the wall. They were Kyle Kirkwood, Jacob Abel, Nolan Siegel, and Callum Ilott. Josef Newgarden dominated the race early leading 232 laps. When he went to pit road on lap 233, Pato O’Ward, Alex Palou, and Marcus Armstrong all led laps.

Pato’s pit crew was quick to get him out ahead of Newgarden. He took the lead on lap 244 and never looked back. He led the final 32 laps to win his first race of the season by 0.2352 seconds over Josef Newgarden. It was his eighth career IndyCar win. Will Power, Scott McLaughlin, and Alex Palou rounded out the top five.

Christian Rasmussen, Conor Daly, Santino Ferrucci, Marcus Armstrong, and Scott Dixon rounded out the top ten. The NTT IndyCar Series finished the weekend at Iowa Speedway with the Farm to Finish 275 powered by Sukup on Sunday at 1 pm on Fox.
