
The Birmingham Stallions released defensive back Mario Goodrich on Monday according to the UFL Transactions page as he is signing with an NFL team.
Mario Goodrich is six foot and weighs 186 pounds. The 25-year-old from Kansas City, Missouri, signed with the Birmingham Stallions on February 7, 2025. In 2025, he made 16 tackles (12 solos, 4 assists), one tackle for loss, five pass breakups, and three forced fumbles in six games.
The Philadelphia Eagles signed Goodrich as an undrafted free agent on May 6, 2022. In 2022, he made five tackles (5 solos) in three preseason games. He spent the season on the practice squad.
In 2023, he made four tackles (3 solos, 1 assist), and three pass breakups in two preseason games. In the regular season, he made five tackles (3 solos, 2 assists) in four games, of which one was a start. The Eagles released him on July 30, 2004.
The New York Giants acquired Goodrich via waivers on July 31, 2024. In 2024, he made six tackles (4 solos, 2 assists) in three preseason games. He suffered a hamstring injury and did not play in the regular season. He became a free agent after the season.
Collegiately, Goodrich played four seasons at Clemson (2018-21) making 69 tackles (39 solos, 30 assists), half tackle for loss, 21 pass breakups, one forced fumble, five interceptions for 25 yards, and one touchdown in 47 games for the Tigers. He was named First Team All-ACC and is a member of the 2018 CFP National Championship team.
