Daniel Suarez scores a win at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez

The NASCAR Xfinity Series visited Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City, Mexico, on Saturday afternoon in the Chilango 150. Connor Zilisch started the race on the pole, and Ty Gibbs started second.

Ty Gibbs led the opening 18 laps. While he was leading laps, there was one caution on lap four when Sam Mayer experienced a wheel-hop and spins entering Turn 11 and hitting the wall.

He was able to continue the race. Ty Gibbs, Connor Zilisch, and several other drivers made pit stops in the closing of the first stage. Carson Kvapil took the lead on lap 19. He led the last four laps to win the first stage.

Connor Zilisch was the new leader to start the second stage. He led 15 laps before making a pit stop, and Sammy Smith was the new leader. He led four laps to win the second stage.

Zilisch, Gibbs, and four other drivers stayed out during the caution. Connor Zilisch was the leader leading the field to start the final stage on lap 47. A lap into the final stage, Daniel Suarez passed Gibbs and Zilisch for the lead in a three-wide battle. Zilisch was turned by Sam Mayer leading to a multi-car crash involving 13 cars.

Daniel Suarez was still the leader when the race restarted on lap 52. He led the final 19 laps to win the race by 0.598 seconds over Taylor Gray. The rest of the top five finishers were Austin Hill third, Christian Eckes fourth, and Connor Zilisch fifth.

There were five cautions for 17 laps and seven lead changes among six drivers. Daniel Suarez led 19 laps, while Ty Gibbs led 18 laps, and Connor Zilisch led 17 laps.
