
The Edmonton Elks re-signed linebacker Brock Mogensen to the practice squad on Saturday.
Brock Mogensen is six foot two and weighs 234 pounds. The 25-year-old from Farmington, Minnesota, signed with the Edmonton Elks on May 26, 2025. He played in one preseason game against the B.C. Lions in 2025 recording no stats. The Elks released him on May 31, 2025.
The Dallas Cowboys signed Mogensen as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024. In 2024, he made five tackles (2 solos, 3 assists), and one pass breakup in three preseason games. He spent the season on the practice squad and was released on April 30, 2025.
Collegiately, Mogensen played five seasons at the University of South Dakota (2019-23) making 399 tackles (172 solos, 227 assists), 15 tackles for loss, three sacks, two interceptions for eight yards, four pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 50 games for the Coyotes. He was named a two-time Second Team All-MVFC, First Team All-MVFC, First Team FCS All-American, and MVFC Defensive Player of the Year.
