The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed wide receiver Joseph Ngata to the practice squad on Monday according to the CFL Transactions page.

Joseph Ngata is six foot three and weighs 217 pounds. The 24-year-old from Reno, Nevada, signed with the Calgary Stampeders on May 1, 2025. In 2025, Ngata made two catches for 30 yards in two preseason games. The Stampeders released him on May 31, 2025.

The Philadelphia Eagles signed Ngata as an undrafted free agent on May 5, 2023. In 2023, he made six catches for 75 yards in three preseason games. In 2024, he made five catches for 88 yards in three preseason games.

He spent two seasons on the practice squad and the Eagles released him on January 14, 2025. The Birmingham Stallions signed Ngata on January 23, 2025. He attended training camp and the Stallions released him on March 20, 2025.

Collegiately, Ngata played four seasons at Clemson (2019-22) making 88 catches for 1,287 yards, six touchdowns, and 14 punt returns for 206 yards in 45 games for the Tigers.
