
The Birmingham Stallions (7-3) concluded the 2025 UFL season on Sunday afternoon from Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium against the Memphis Showboats (2-8).
In the first quarter, Memphis kicker Matt Coughlin made a 25-yard field goal putting the Showboats up 3-0 with 8:30 left. Later, Birmingham running back Ricky Pearson Jr. rushed to his left side scoring a two-yard touchdown for a 6-3 lead with 5:08 left.
Late in the first quarter, Memphis quarterback Dresser Winn’s pass was intercepted by linebacker Tae Crowder for a 49-yard pick-six touchdown. Birmingham running back Larry Rountree III rushed up the middle for the one-point conversion. Birmingham led 13-3 heading into the second quarter.
In the second quarter, Memphis running back Deneric Prince rushed up the middle for a six-yard touchdown cutting Birmingham’s lead to 13-9 with 10:20 left. Late in the second quarter, Birmingham quarterback J’Mar Smith threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Amari Rodgers. On the one-point try, Smith rushed to his right side into the endzone for a 20-9 lead with 3:26 left. Birmingham kicker Harrison Mevis made a 49-yard field goal for a 23-9 lead at halftime.
In the third quarter, Birmingham running back Ricky Pearson Jr. rushed up the middle for a two-yard touchdown for a 29-9 lead with 8:25 left. Late in the third quarter, Birmingham kicker Harrison Mevis made a 54-yard field goal for a 32-9 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
In the fourth quarter, Memphis quarterback Dresser Winn’s pass was intercepted by Tae Crowder for the second time for a 25-yard pick-six touchdown. They got the one-point conversion for a 39-9 lead with 14:44 left. Late in the game, Birmingham running back Larry Rountree III rushed up the middle for a two-yard touchdown. Birmingham got another one-point conversion and went on to rout the Memphis Showboats by the final score of 46-9.
Birmingham had 338 yards of offense led by quarterback J’Mar Smith completing 13 of 17 passes (76.5%) for 127 yards, one touchdown, and one carry for two yards. Running back Ricky Person Jr. led the rushers with nine carries for 42 yards, and one touchdown, while Larry Rountree III had 11 carries for 34 yards and one touchdown.
Wide receiver Jace Sternberger led the receivers making one catch for 37 yards, and Amari Rodgers made four catches for 36 yards and one touchdown. Kicker Harrison Mevis made two field goals with a long of 52 yards. The defense made 52 tackles, four tackles for loss, three sacks, two interceptions, two touchdowns, and six pass breakups.
Memphis had 201 yards of offense led by quarterback Dresser Winn completing 13 of 24 passes (54.2%) for 113 yards, two interceptions, and one carry for 15 yards. Running back Deneric Prince led the rushers with 10 carries for 39 yards and one touchdown.
Wide receiver Kai Locksley led the team making five catches for 55 yards. Kicker Matt Coughlin made one field goal with a long of 25 yards. The defense made 57 tackles, one tackle for loss, and three pass breakups.
