The Arlington Renegades (4-5) visited Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium on Saturday afternoon against the Memphis Showboats (2-7). The game was delayed for three hours due to a lightning delay and did not kick off until 3 pm Eastern Standard Time, or 2 pm Central Standard Time.

After a scoreless first quarter, Arlington kicker Lucas Havrisik made a 27-year field goal for the first points of the game. The Renegades took a 3-0 lead with 14:21 left of the second quarter. Next, Arlington backup quarterback Holton Ahlers threw a two-yard touchdown pass to Seth Green. They tried the two-point conversion and did not get it. It was 9-0 with 11:46 left.

Memphis running back Jalen Jackson got the Showboats on the board with a four-yard rushing touchdown. Memphis attempted a two-point conversion and did not get it. It was now 9-6 Arlington with 9:37 left. For the rest of the second quarter, the two teams traded field goals.

Arlington kicker Lucas Havrisik made a 40-yard field goal, and Memphis kicker Matt Coughlin made a 41-yard field goal. The Renegades led the Showboats 12-9 at halftime.

In the third quarter, Memphis kicker Matt Coughlin made a 29-yard field goal to tie the game 12-12 with 5:16. Late in the third quarter, Arlington quarterback Luis Perez threw a 41-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Vaughns for an 18-12 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

In the fourth quarter, Arlington pulled away. Running back JaVonta Payton rushed to his left side for a 15-yard touchdown, which made it 24-12 with 12:50 left. Finally, quarterback Luis Perez threw a 24-yard touchdown pass to Deontay Burnett, and the Arlington Renegades defeated the Memphis Showboats by the final score of 30-12.

Arlington had 337 yards of offense led by quarterback Luis Perez completing 20 of 30 passes (66.7%) for 206 yards, two touchdowns, and three carries for -2 yards. Running back JaVonta Payton had one carry for 15 yards, and one touchdown.

Wide receiver Tyler Vaughns led the receivers making eight catches for 107 yards, and one touchdown, while Deontay Burnett made four catches for 42 yards, and one touchdown.

Kicker Lucas Havrisik made 2 of 3 field goals (66.7%) with a long of 40 yards. The defense made 46 tackles, nine tackles for loss, five sacks, one interception, six pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.

Memphis had 173 yards of offense led by quarterback E.J. Perry completing 5 of 11 passes (45.5%) for 89 yards, and one carry for two yards. Backup quarterback Dresser Winn completed 7 of 16 passes (43.8%) for 83 yards, one interception, and two carries for two yards.

Running back Deneric Prince led the rushers with 11 carries for 22 yards, and Jalen Jackson had six carries for 16 yards, and one touchdown. Wide receiver Isaiah Washington led the receivers making three catches for 54 yards. Kicker Matt Coughlin made two field goals with a long of 41 yards. The defense made 55 tackles, three tackles for loss, two sacks, one pass breakup, and one forced fumble.
