The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed wide receiver Abdul Janneh Jr. and released wide receiver Wayne Ruby Jr. on Wednesday.

Abdul Janneh Jr. is six foot three and weighs 195 pounds. The 22-year-old from Hanover, Pennsylvania, went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Collegiately, Janneh Jr. played three seasons at Duquesne University (2020-22) making 51 catches for 671 yards, 10 touchdowns, two punt returns for 22 yards, and two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in 20 games for the Dukes. In 2022, he made 43 catches for 579 yards, nine touchdowns, and one tackle (1 solo) in 11 games. He was named First Team All-NEC and Phil Steele in 2022.

Then, he transferred to Georgia Tech (2023-24) making 13 catches for 231 yards, two touchdowns, and six tackles (3 solos, 3 assists) in 25 games for the Yellow Jackets. In 2023, he was averaging 20.3 receiving yards per catch, and 15.6 receiving yards per catch in 2024.

Wayne Ruby Jr. is six foot one and weighs 190 pounds. The 24-year-old from Pembroke Pines, Florida, signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders on January 31, 2025.

Ruby Jr. went undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft. He worked out for the Cleveland Browns, Arizona Cardinals, and the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Collegiately, Ruby played five seasons at Mount Union (2019-23) making 362 catches for 5,624 yards, 74 touchdowns, five punt returns for 84 yards, and two tackles (2 solos) in 56 games for the Purple Raiders. In 2023, he made 75 catches for 1,124 yards, 15 touchdowns, and five punt returns for 84 yards in 12 games.

Ruby was named a four-time First Team All-OVC (2020-23), a two-time Associated Press First Team Division III All-American, a two-time D3football.com First Team All-American, and a two-time OAC Ed Sherman Receiver of the Year.
