
The B.C. Lions signed quarterback Hank Bachmeier, offensive lineman Ilm Manning and defensive back Tanner Moku on Wednesday.
Hank Bachmeier is six foot one and weighs 221 pounds. The 25-year-old from Murrieta, California, attended the San Francisco 49ers rookie minicamp in 2025.
Collegiately, Bachmeier played four seasons at Boise State (2019-22) completing 536 of 870 passes (62%) for 6,605 yards, 41 touchdowns, 19 interceptions, 140 carries for 17 yards, three touchdowns, and one tackle (1 solo) in 29 games for the Broncos. He was named a two-time Academic All-Mountain West, and a two-time Mountain West Scholar-Athlete.
Next, he transferred to Louisiana Tech in 2023 completing 182 of 269 passes (68%) for 2,058 yards, 10 touchdowns, five interceptions, 58 carries for 47 yards, two touchdowns, and one tackle (1 assist) in nine games for the Bulldogs.
Then, he transferred to Wake Forest in 2024 completing 224 of 357 passes (63%) for 2,593 yards, 16 touchdowns, 10 interceptions, 96 carries for 140 yards, one touchdown, and one catch for one yard in 12 games for the Demon Deacons.
Ilm Manning is six foot two and weighs 294 pounds. The 25-year-old from Glendale, Arizona, signed with the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. In 2023, he appeared in three preseason games. The 49ers released him on August 29, 2023. The Arizona Cardinals acquired Manning off waivers from the 49ers on August 30, 2023.
The Cardinals released him on October 2, 2023, and he re-signed with San Francisco on October 4, 2023. Later in the season, the Carolina Panthers signed Manning off of San Francisco’s practice squad on December 28, 2023. The Panthers released him on June 5, 2024.
The Seattle Seahawks signed Manning on July 24, 2024. In 2024, he played two preseason games, and the Seahawks released him on August 27, 2024. The Birmingham Stallions signed Manning on December 3, 2024. They released him on March 10, 2025.
Collegiately, Manning played five seasons at Hawaii (2018-22) playing left tackle in 62 games for the Rainbow Warriors. In 2022, Hawaii’s offense averaged 19.77 points per game, 137.2 rushing yards per game, 205.54 passing yards per game, 342.8 total yards per game, and 30 touchdowns.
Tanner Moku is six foot one and weighs 212 pounds. A native of Honolulu, Hawaii, Moku played five seasons at Washington State (2020-24) making 65 tackles (41 solos, 24 assists), one pass breakup, and one fumble recovery in 45 games for the Cougars. In 2024, he made 49 tackles (30 solos, 19 assists), and one pass breakup in 13 games.
The Lions also released running back Jason Huntley, wide receiver David Durden, offensive linemen Blaine Hoover and Connor Klassen, and defensive back Myles Brooks.
David Durden is six foot two and weighs 200 pounds. The 26-year-old from Twin City, Georgia, signed with the B.C. Lions on May 2, 2025. In 2025, he made two catches for 30 yards and one touchdown against the Calgary Stampeders, including a 19-yard touchdown. Both passes he caught were deflected, with one of them that should have been an interception that led to a 19-yard touchdown.
Durden was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 20th round (611th pick) of the 2017 MLB Draft. He played for the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League Red Sox batting .220, .311 OPB, .542 OPS, with 20 hits, seven runs, and nine RBIs in 30 games before retiring to pursue football.
The Dallas Cowboys signed Durden as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. In 2023, Durden suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament and missed the entire season. In 2024, he made one catch for 16 yards in one preseason game. The Cowboys released him on September 2, 2024.
The Arlington Renegades signed Durden on December 20, 2024. He did not play a game for the Renegades in 2025. The Renegades released him on April 28, 2025.
Collegiately, Durden played two seasons at Mercer (2018-19) making 63 catches for 1,054 yards, 9 touchdowns, completing 1 of 2 passes (50%) for 11 yards, one touchdown, 37 kick returns for 971 yards, one touchdown, eight tackles (6 solos, 2 assists), and one blocked kick in 20 games for the Bears. He was named First Team All-SoCon Conference.
Then, Durden transferred to West Florida (2021-22) making 88 catches for 1,915 yards, 23 touchdowns, five carries for 16 yards, one touchdown, six kick returns for 87 yards, and 14 punt returns for 248 yards, and one touchdown in 19 games for the Argonauts. He was named a two-time First Team All-GSC and First Team All-American by AFCA and the Associated Press.
