San Antonio Brahmas release DB Derrick Langford, sign two players

The San Antonio Brahmas signed linebacker Marcus Haynes and defensive back Kary Vincent Jr., and released defensive back Derrick Langford on Monday according to the UFL Transactions page.

Marcus Haynes is six foot four and weighs 240 pounds. The 26-year-old from Bowie, Maryland, re-signed with the Cleveland Browns on January 6, 2025. They released him on May 12, 2025.

The Denver Broncos signed Haynes as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. In 2023, he made five tackles (3 solos, 2 assists), and one pass breakup in three preseason games. He spent part of the season on the practice squad.

The Broncos released him on November 27, 2023, and he signed with the Houston Texans on February 16, 2024. The Texans released him on June 4, 2024. Haynes signed with the San Antonio Brahmas on August 2, 2024. San Antonio released him on August 6, 2024.

In 2024, he split his time with the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Browns making three tackles (2 solos, 1 assist) in two preseason games. He spent the majority of the season on Pittsburgh’s practice squad before getting released on October 1, 2024, and the Browns re-signed him on October 9, 2024, and he spent the rest of the season on the practice squad.

Collegiately, Haynes played six seasons at Old Dominion (2017-22) making 102 tackles (55 solos, 47 assists), 22 tackles for loss, 15 sacks, four forced fumbles, and five pass breakups in 49 games for the Monarchs.

Kary Vincent Jr. is five foot ten and weighs 189 pounds. The 26-year-old from Port Arthur, Texas, signed with the Toronto Argonauts on February 15, 2024. In 2024, he made one tackle against the Montreal Alouettes in a preseason game. The Argonauts released him on May 28, 2024.

The Denver Broncos drafted Vincent Jr. in the seventh round (237th pick) of the 2021 NFL Draft. He was later traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2021 for a 2022 sixth-round pick. Vincent Jr. played two regular season games for the Eagles making two tackles (2 solos). Vincent Jr. would also have a brief stint with the San Francisco 49ers in 2022.

The Houston Roughnecks acquired him from the San Antonio Brahmas on January 23, 2023. Vincent Jr. made five tackles (4 solos, 1 assist) and three pass breakups in six games. The Toronto Argonauts signed Vincent Jr. on February 15, 2024. He played in one preseason game against the Montreal Alouettes in 2024 making one tackle.

Collegiately, Vincent Jr. played three seasons at Louisiana State University (2017-19) making 87 tackles (60 solos, 27 assists), 3.5 tackles for loss, one sack, six interceptions for 45 yards, and 15 pass breakups in 39 games for the Tigers.

Derrick Langford is six foot one and weighs 205 pounds. The 25-year-old from Richmond, California, re-signed with the San Antonio Brahmas on August 27, 2024. He attended training camp and was released on March 20, 2025. The Brahmas re-signed him on April 10, 2025. In 2025, he made seven tackles (6 solos, 1 assist), and three pass breakups in five games.

The New York Jets signed Langford as an undrafted free agent in 2023. He played three preseason games with 8 tackles (7 solos, 1 assist), and two pass breakups.

Next, Langford signed with the New Jersey Generals on October 31, 2023. Langford became a free agent after the Generals were not included in the USFL and XFL merger forming the United Football League (UFL). Langford signed with the San Antonio Brahmas on May 16, 2024. In 2024, Langford made two tackles (2 solos) in one game.

Collegiately, Langford played one season at San Francisco Community College in 2018 with 30 tackles (25 solos, 5 assists), one interception, and four pass breakups in 11 games for the Rams.

Then, Langford transferred to Washington State (2019-22) with 91 tackles (60 solos, 31 assists), one tackle for loss, four interceptions for 71 yards, one touchdown, 17 pass breakups, and three forced fumbles in 39 games for the Cougars.
