The Ottawa Redblacks released offensive lineman Malik Pete on Tuesday according to the CFL Transactions page.

Malik Pete is six foot six and weighs 320 pounds. The 24-year-old from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Ottawa Redblacks signed Pete on May 19, 2025.

Collegiately, Pete played three seasons at Southwestern Oklahoma State (2019-21) playing eight games for the Bulldogs. Then, he transferred to Tarleton State (2022-24) playing left tackle in 26 games for the Texans. In 2024, Tarleton State averaged 30. 71 points per game, 191.1 rushing yards per game, 224.71 passing yards per game, 415.8 total yards per game, 56 touchdowns, and allowed 16 sacks finishing 10-4 for the season.
