The Edmonton Elks signed defensive linemen Quincy Ledet Jr. and Francis Bemiy Jr., and released wide receiver Cooper ‘C.J.’ Hutton on Monday.

Quincy Ledet Jr. is six foot two and weighs 215 pounds. A native of Orange, Texas, Ledet Jr. went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Collegiately, Ledet Jr. played three seasons at Louisiana-Monroe (2020-22) making 76 tackles (28 solos, 48 assists), six tackles for loss, four sacks, two pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 31 games for the Warhawks. Then, he transferred to Texas Tech (2023-24) making 42 tackles (12 solos, 30 assists), four tackles for loss, half a sack, one interception for 20 yards, and one forced fumble in 24 games for the Red Raiders.

Francis Bemiy Jr. is six foot four and weighs 270 pounds. The 26-year-old from Montreal, Quebec, did not play in the 2024 season due to a knee injury. The Lions released him on May 14, 2025.

The B.C. Lions drafted Bemiy Jr. in the first round (9th pick) of the 2023 CFL Draft. In his rookie season, he made 5 tackles in 9 games.

Collegiately, Bemiy Jr. played five seasons at Southern Utah (2018-22) making 163 tackles (87 solos, 76 assists), 38.5 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, one pass breakup, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and one blocked kick in 49 games for the Thunderbirds.

Cooper ‘C.J.’ Hutton is five foot nine and weighs 180 pounds. The 23-year-old from Folsom, California, signed with the Edmonton Elks on April 7, 2025.

Collegiately, Hutton played five seasons at U.C. Davis (2020-24) making 169 catches for 1,894 yards, 11 touchdowns, 90 carries for 452 yards, six touchdowns, completing one pass for 29 yards, 15 kick returns for 322 yards, four punt returns for five yards, and five tackles (3 solos, 2 assists) in 51 games for the Aggies.

In 2024, he made 51 catches for 669 yards, two touchdowns, three carries for 41 yards, one touchdown, completed one pass for 29 yards, and 11 kick returns for 248 yards in 13 games. He finished second on the team in receiving yards.

The Elks also placed linebacker Olivier Muembi on the six-game injured list, and defensive lineman Noah Curtis on the one-game injured list.
