The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed defensive lineman Kevin Pointer on Sunday.
Kevin Pointer is six foot one and weighs 185 pounds. The 24-year-old from Jonesboro, Arkansas, attended the Las Vegas Raiders rookie minicamp in 2025.
Collegiately, Pointer played one season at the University of Louisiana Monroe in 2020 making 38 tackles (24 solos, 14 assists), and 7.5 tackles for loss in 10 games for the Warhawks.
Then, Pointer transferred to Wake Forest (2021-24) making 89 tackles (45 solos, 44 assists), 21 tackles for loss, seven sacks, one interception for 32 yards, five pass breakups, and one fumble recovery in 43 games for the Demon Deacons.
In 2024, he made 34 tackles (15 solos, 19 assists), eight tackles for loss, four sacks, one interception for 32 yards, and two pass breakups in 11 games. Pointer Jr. finished second on the team in tackles for loss and sacks. He was an All-ACC Honorable Mention in 2024.
