The Ottawa Redblacks signed linebacker Micah Cretsinger on Sunday according to the CFL Transactions page.

Micah Cretsinger is six foot two and weighs 240 pounds. The 23-year-old from Jackson, Michigan, attended the Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie minicamp in 2025.

Collegiately, Cretsinger played four seasons at Saginaw Valley State University (2021-24) making 271 tackles (147 solos, 124 assists), 32.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, 10 interceptions for 256 yards, five touchdowns, 10 pass breakups, seven forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and one fumble recovery for a touchdown in 44 games for the Cardinals.

In 2024, he made 82 tackles (46 solos, 36 assists), 11 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, one interception for 21 yards, five pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery for a touchdown in 11 games.

He was named a two-time First Team All-GLIAC (2023-24), two-time NCAA DII CAA All-Region (2023-24), GLIAC Defensive Player of the Year in 2024, First Team All-American by AFCA and AP in 2023, First Team Elite 100 by D2football.com in 2024, and a finalist for the Cliff Harris Award, which recognizes the top small college defensive player in the country in NCAA D-II, NCAA D-III, and NAIA.
