The Edmonton Elks signed quarterback Cole Snyder on Sunday according to the CFL Transactions page.

Cole Snyder is six foot one and weighs 209 pounds. A native of Lakewood, New York, Snyder attended the Detroit Lions rookie minicamp in 2025.

Collegiately, Snyder played three seasons at Rutgers (2019-21) completing 21 of 31 passes (68%) for 165 yards, one touchdown, and 16 carries for 48 yards in nine games for the Scarlet Knights. He was named to the Academic All-Big Ten team in 2021.

Next, he transferred to Buffalo (2022-23) completing 474 of 833 passes (57%) for 5,139 yards, 31 touchdowns, 17 interceptions, 177 carries for 233 yards, five touchdowns, one catch for 15 yards, punting the ball one time for 56 yards, with one touchback, and three tackles (3 solos) in 25 games for the Bulls. He was named to the Academic All-MAC team in 2023.

Then, he transferred to Eastern Michigan in 2024 completing 240 of 402 passes (60%) for 2,684 yards, 15 touchdowns, nine interceptions, 136 carries for 323 yards, four touchdowns, punting the ball three times for 138 yards (46 AVG), with a long of 50 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 12 games for the Eagles.
