The B.C. Lions signed defensive lineman Jalil Clemons and released fullback Dylan St. Pierre on Friday.

Jalil Clemons is six foot three and weighs 240 pounds. A native of Macon, Mississippi, Clemons made 34 tackles (14 solos, 20 assists), 6.5 tackles for loss, and three sacks in 12 games for the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles. Clemons finished tenth on the team in total tackles and tied second in sacks.

Collegiately, Clemons played three seasons at Memphis (2019-21) making 36 tackles (21 solos, 15 assists), nine tackles for loss, three sacks, and one pass breakup in 26 games for the Tigers. In 2019, he made 15 tackles (8 solos, 7 assists), 5.5 tackles for loss, and two sacks in 13 games helping Memphis win the AAC Conference and appear in the Cotton Bowl.

Then, he transferred to Southern Mississippi (2022-24) making 53 tackles (25 solos, 28 assists), 10 tackles for loss, four sacks, and one pass breakup in 24 games for the Golden Eagles.

Dylan St. Pierre is six foot two and weighs 227 pounds. The 27-year-old from Ottawa, Ontario, re-signed with the B.C. Lions on November 18, 2024.

St. Pierre attended the Las Vegas Raiders rookie minicamp in 2023. Then, he signed with the B.C. Lions February 6, 2023, and spent the season on the practice squad.

The Lions released him on May 24, 2024, and later re-signed him on September 30, 2024. He was released again on November 1, 2024.

Collegiately, St. Pierre played five seasons at the University of Ottawa (2017-22). He started as a tight end before converting to fullback. He made 45 catches for 444 yards, five touchdowns, four carries for 20 yards, and 15 tackles (10 solos, 5 assists) in 33 games for the Gee-Gees. He participated in the CFL National Combine and the FBS All-Americans Tropical Bowl in Orlando, Florida, in 2021.

St. Pierre’s breakout season came in 2018 making 16 catches for 208 yards, four touchdowns, one carry for ten yards, and nine tackles (7 solos, 2 assists) in eight games. In 2019, St. Pierre made 23 catches for 212 yards, one touchdown, three carries for ten yards, and three tackles (1 solo, 2 assists) in eight games.
