The Calgary Stampeders signed offensive lineman Tomas Jack-Kurdyla, defensive lineman Dashaun Mallory, and punter Fraser Masin on Wednesday according to the CFL Transactions page.

Tomas Jack-Kurdyla is six foot four and weighs 300 pounds. The 29-year-old from Montreal, Quebec, re-signed with the Edmonton Elks on January 24, 2024. In 2024, Jack-Kurdyla played three games after dealing with a knee injury for the majority of the season.

Edmonton’s offense averaged 28 points per game, 390.3 net offense per game, 131.4 rushing yards per game, 271.7 passing yards per game, and 29 sacks allowed finishing 7-11 in the 2024 season. The Elks released him on May 5, 2025.

The Edmonton Elks drafted Jack-Kurdyla in the first round (4th pick) of the 2020 CFL Draft. In three seasons with Edmonton, Jack-Kurdyla has played 42 games, of which 36 were starts.

In 2023, Jack-Kurdyla started in all 18 games for the Elks. In 2023, Edmonton’s offense ranked last in points per game (20.4), fifth in touchdowns (41), seventh in average total yards (324.9), third in average rushing yards (123.6), eighth in average passing yards (221.1), and fifth in sacks allowed (52).

Collegiately, Jack-Kurdyla played four seasons at the University of Buffalo (2016-19) playing 48 games at right guard with one tackle (1 solo) for the Bulls. In 2019, the Bulls’ offense rushed for a school-record 3,256 yards and allowed a program-low eight sacks.

Dashaun Mallory is six foot one and weighs 275 pounds. The 25-year-old from Bolingbrook, Illinois, signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2024. In 2024, he made seven tackles (4 solos, 3 assists), and one sack in three preseason games. He spent the 2024 season on the practice squad.

Collegiately, Mallory played four seasons at Michigan State (2019-22) making 44 tackles (24 solos, 20 assists), five tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, one pass breakup, and one fumble recovery in 27 games for the Spartans.

Then, he transferred to Arizona State in 2023 making 48 tackles (26 solos, 22 assists), 10 tackles for loss, two sacks, and four pass breakups in 12 games for the Sun Devils.

Fraser Masin is six foot four and weighs 230 pounds. The 23-year-old from Brisbane, Australia, was drafted by the Calgary Stampeders in the first round (1st pick) of the 2025 CFL Global Draft.

Collegiately, Masin played three seasons at Ole Miss (2022-24) punting the ball 125 times for 5,441 yards (43.5 AVG), with a long of 65 yards, four touchbacks, 40 fair catches, 41 from inside the 20-yard line, 26 from 50-plus yards, one carry for 24 yards, and three tackles (2 solos, 1 assist) in 37 games for the Rebels.

In 2024, he punted the ball 36 times for 1,676 yards (46.6 AVG), with a long of 65 yards, one touchback, 13 fair catches, 16 from inside the 20-yard line, and 14 from 50-plus yards in 12 games for the Ole Miss Rebels. He was a semifinalist for the Ray Guy Award and named Fourth Team All-SEC by Phil Steele.

Masin graduated from St. Joseph’s Nudgee College in Brisbane, Australia in 2018. He was selected to the Australian rules football state team in 2017 and 2016, and was a member of the Brisbane Lions Academy in 2018. Besides football, Masin played volleyball and basketball.
