
The St. Louis Battlehawks (5-2) visited Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium on Sunday afternoon to close out Week 7 of the 2025 UFL season against the Memphis Showboats (1-6).
In the first quarter, St. Louis quarterback Max Duggan rushed up the middle to score a seven-yard touchdown. They succeeded in getting the one-point conversion to take a 7-0 lead with 5:51 left. Late in the first quarter, St. Louis kicker Rodrigo Blankenship made a 53-yard field goal for a 10-0 lead at the end of the first quarter.
In the second quarter, Memphis quarterback Dresser Winn threw a five-yard touchdown pass to Jonathan Adams. They attempted the two-point conversion but did not get it. The Showboats trailed the Battlehawks 10-6 with 1:50 left.
Late in the second quarter, St. Louis quarterback Max Duggan threw a short pass to Jahcour Pearson for a 13-yard touchdown. The Battlehawks did not get the one-point conversion to take a 16-6 lead at halftime.
In the third quarter, Memphis kicker Matt Coughlin made a 27-yard field goal. The Showboats trailed the Battlehawks 16-9 with 2:13 left. In the fourth quarter, St. Louis kicker Rodrigo Blankenship made a 44-yard field goal.
That would be all the Battlehawks needed as they defeated the Memphis Showboats by the final score of 19-6. With the loss, the Memphis Showboats are eliminated from playoff contention.
St. Louis had 258 yards of offense led by quarterback Max Duggan completing 15 of 23 passes (65.2%) for 158 yards, one touchdown, one interception, and led the rushers with nine carries for 58 yards, and one touchdown. Running back Jacob Saylors had 11 carries for 36 yards.
Wide receiver Gary Jennings Jr. led the receivers making three catches for 61 yards, while Jahcour Pearson made three catches for six yards, and one touchdown. Kicker Rodrigo Blankenship made two field goals with a long of 53 yards. The defense made 68 tackles, six tackles for loss, two sacks, four pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.
Memphis had 273 yards of offense led by quarterback Dresser Winn completing 21 of 35 passes (60%) for 196 yards, one touchdown, and three carries for eight yards. Running back Deneric Prince led the rushers with 17 carries for 44 yards.
Wide receiver Jonathan Adams made four catches for 69 yards, and one touchdown, while Kai Locksley made three catches for 60 yards. Kicker Matt Coughlin made one field goal for 27 yards. The defense made 51 tackles, five tackles for loss, two sacks, one interception, and five pass breakups.
Next week, the Memphis Showboats visit the San Antonio Brahmas on Friday at 8 pm on Fox, while the St. Louis Battlehawks host the Birmingham Stallions on Saturday at 1 pm on Fox.
