The Repco Supercar Championship concluded the weekend on Sunday for Race 13 at Symmons Plains Raceway in the Snowy River Caravans Tasmania Super 440. Will Brown started the race on the pole with Ryan Wood starting in second.

At the start, James Golding blew by Brown, Wood, and Waters to take the lead before entering Turn 2. Behind him, Cooper Murray and Kai Allen collided, sending Anton De Pasquale off the track. Golding opened up a 1.9-second lead on lap 6 with Cam Waters chasing him.

Broc Feeney caught and passed Ryan Wood at the hairpin to take third place. Six laps later, he passed Cam Waters for second place and began to chase down Golding. On lap 26, Brodie Kostecki got turned by Bryce Fullwood at Turn 3 leading to a safety car.

James Golding and Broc Feeney elected to stay out while the other drivers went to pit road. On lap 33, Feeney took the lead and quickly started to distance himself from Golding. After all the pit stops were complete, Matthew Payne was the new leader. He led Will Brown by 3.2 seconds, and Feeney was 13.7 seconds behind Payne.

Late in the race, Feeney on fresh tires was blowing by everyone taking second place and chasing Matthew Payne in the closing laps. On the final lap, Payne was holding off Feeney, who tried several moves to get by him. As they came down to the start/finish line, Feeney made the move but Payne held on to beat him by 0.05 seconds. It was Payne’s third win of the season.

The rest of the top ten finishers were Will Brown third, James Golding fourth, Richie Stanaway fifth, David Reynolds sixth, Ryan Wood seventh, Andre Heimgartner eighth, Nick Percat ninth, and Cameron Hill tenth.

The Repco Supercars Championship resumes the 2025 season at the Bosch Power Tools Perth Super 440 at the Carco.com.AU Raceway on June 6-8.
