Ottawa Redblacks sign seven players from the 2025 CFL Draft

The Ottawa Redblacks signed seven players from the 2025 CFL Draft, including wide receivers Keelan White and Ethan Jordan, offensive lineman Sam Carson, defensive lineman Muftah Ageli, linebacker Jayden Griffiths, defensive back King Ambers, and kicker/punter Callum Eddings.

Keelan White is six foot two and weighs 190 pounds. The 23-year-old from North Vancouver, British Columbia, was drafted by the Ottawa Redblacks in the first round (3rd pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.

Collegiately, White played six seasons at Montana (2019-24) making 161 catches for 1,862 yards, 14 touchdowns, one carry for -11 yards, 13 punt returns for 138 yards, and two tackles (2 solos) in 57 games for the Grizzlies. In 2024, White made 57 catches for 628 yards, four touchdowns, five punt returns for 62 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 13 games. He was named Second Team All-Big Sky Conference and Montana’s Offensive MVP for the 2023 season.

Ethan Jordan is five foot ten and weighs 177 pounds. The 22-year-old from Chatham, Ontario, was drafted by the Ottawa Redblacks in the sixth round (51st pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.

Collegiately, Jordan played four seasons at Wilfrid Laurier University (2021-24) making 243 catches for 3,274 yards, 27 touchdowns, four carries for 26 yards, eight kick returns for 139 yards, 32 punt returns for 278 yards, two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist), and one interception, 40 games for the Golden Hawks.

He was named a two-time First Team U-Sports All-Canadian, three-time First Team OUA All-Star, and helped the Golden Hawks win the 2024 Yates Cup and Uteck Bowl.

Samuel Carson is six foot four and weighs 300 pounds. The 23-year-old from Calgary, Alberta, was drafted by the Ottawa Redblacks in the second round (12th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.

Collegiately, Carson played two seasons at the University of Calgary (2021-22) playing 14 games for the Dinos. In 2022, Calgary averaged 14.63 points per game, 90.6 rushing yards per game, 207.25 passing yards per game, 274.6 total yards per game, 12 touchdowns, and allowed 15 sacks finishing 1-8 for the season.

Then, Carson transferred to the University of Louisiana-Monroe (2023-24) playing 15 games for the Warhawks. In 2024, Louisiana-Monroe averaged 21 points per game, 169.7 rushing yards per game, 134.75 passing yards per game, 304.4 total yards per game, 30 touchdowns, and allowed 21 sacks.

Carson was named a semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy by the National Football Foundation (NFF) and College Football Hall of Fame.

Muftah Ageli is six foot two and weighs 310 pounds. The 21-year-old from Windsor, Ontario, was drafted by the Ottawa Redblacks in the fourth round (33rd pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.

Collegiately, Ageli played three seasons at the University of Windsor (2021-23) making 80 tackles (40 solos, 40 assists), 14.5 tackles for loss, seven sacks, one interception for five yards, one touchdown, four pass breakups, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, one catch for one yard, and one touchdown in 25 games for the Lancers.

Ageli was named Team MVP for the 2023 season, First Team OUA All-Star, and Second Team U-Sports All-Canadian. Then, Ageli transferred to Northwestern Oklahoma State in 2024 making 34 tackles (12 solos, 22 assists), four tackles for loss, one sack, one interception for 20 yards, one touchdown, and one pass breakup in 10 games for the Rangers. He was named Third Team All-GAC.

Jayden Griffiths is six foot and weighs 227 pounds. The 22-year-old from Mississauga, Ontario, was drafted by the Ottawa Redblacks in the seventh round (60th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.

Collegiately, Griffiths played four seasons at Wilfrid Laurier University (2021-24) making 93 tackles (58 solos, 35 assists), four tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, seven pass breakups, one fumble recovery, and one punt return for five yards in 40 games for the Golden Hawks. Griffiths helped the Golden Hawks win the 2024 Yates Cup and Uteck Bowl.

King Ambers is six foot three and weighs 191 pounds. The 25-year-old from Pickering, Ontario, was drafted by the Ottawa Redblacks in the eighth round (68th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.

Collegiately, Ambers played four seasons at East Texas A&M University (2021-24) making 59 tackles (35 solos, 24 assists), 4.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions for 13 yards, seven pass breakups, one forced fumble, and two kick returns for 36 yards in 37 games for the Lions.

In 2024, Ambers made 29 tackles (15 solos, 14 assists), one tackle for loss, one interception, two pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 13 games.

Callum Eddings is five foot eleven and weighs 150 pounds. The 23-year-old from Ivanhoe East, Victoria, Australia, was drafted by the Ottawa Redblacks in the first round (5th pick) of the 2025 CFL Global Draft.

Collegiately, Eddings played at McNeese State University (2021-23) punting the ball 156 times for 6,014 yards (38.6 AVG), with a long of 61 yards, six touchbacks, 67 fair catches, 50 from inside the 20-yard line, nine from 50-plus yards, one tackle (1 solo), and one tackle for loss in 31 games for the Cowboys. He was on the SLC Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll in 2021.

Then, he transferred to Stephen F. Austin in 2024 punting the ball 44 times for 2,019 yards (45.9 AVG), with a long of 67 yards, five touchbacks, 12 fair catches, 13 from inside the 20-yard line, 17 from 50-plus yards, one carry for -9 yards, and one tackle (1 assist) in 10 games for the Lumberjacks.
