Houston Roughnecks bring back tight end Cam Sutton

The Houston Roughnecks re-signed tight end Cam Sutton on Wednesday according to the UFL Transactions page.

Cam Sutton is six foot six and weighs 226 pounds. The 28-year-old from Moreno Valley, California, signed with the Houston Roughnecks on August 21, 2024. In 2025, Sutton made one catch for seven yards in two games. The Roughnecks released him on April 15, 2025.

The Carolina Panthers signed Sutton as an undrafted free agent in 2020. In 2021, Sutton signed with the Seattle Seahawks and played three preseason games making four catches for 12 yards.

Next, Sutton signed with the Vegas Vipers (XFL) on January 6, 2023. In 2023, Sutton made 12 catches for 140 yards in nine games. Then, Sutton signed with the Memphis Showboats on March 5, 2024. However, he was released on March 23, 2024.

Collegiately, Sutton played one season at Riverside Community College in 2017 making 14 catches for 287 yards, and seven touchdowns in nine games for the Tigers. Then, he transferred to Fresno State (2018-19) making nine catches for 154 yards, two carries for 34 yards, and one kick return for four yards in 25 games for the Bulldogs.
