
The Edmonton Elks signed defensive back Jarmaine Doubs on Wednesday.
Jarmaine Doubs is five foot eleven and weighs 185 pounds. A native of Los Angeles, California, Doubs has played the last two seasons with the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League.
In 2023, he made eight tackles (7 solos, 1 assist), one interception, and two pass breakups in two games. In 2024, he made 87 tackles (63 solos, 24 assists), three tackles for loss, seven interceptions for 132 yards, 19 pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 19 games.
In the postseason, Doubs made 20 tackles (17 solos, 3 assists), three interceptions for 43 yards, and three pass breakups in three games helping the Rattlers win the IFL National Championship over the Massachusetts Pirates.
Doubs signed with the San Diego Strike Force (IFL) on November 13, 2019. In 2020, he did not play in the only game of the season for San Diego against the Quad City Steamwheelers before the league shutdown due to COVID-19.
Collegiately, Doubs played two seasons at West Los Angeles College (2014-15) making 65 tackles (46 solos, 19 assists), three tackles for loss, six interceptions for 42 yards, nine pass breakups, and one fumble recovery in 17 games for the Wildcats.
Then, he transferred to Southern Utah University (2016-17) making 81 tackles (64 solos, 17 assists), five tackles for loss, five interceptions, 10 pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 19 games for the Thunderbirds. In 2017, he made 47 tackles (35 solos, 12 assists), 3.5 tackles for loss, four interceptions, and five pass breakups in 12 games.
