The D.C. Defenders signed linebacker Micah Baskerville on Wednesday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Micah Baskerville is six foot and weighs 224 pounds. The 25-year-old from Shreveport, Louisiana, signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent on May 5, 2023. In 2023, he made 14 tackles (8 solos, 6 assists), one sack, and one pass breakup in three pass breakups.
He appeared in two regular-season games. In 2024, he made 11 tackles (5 solos, 6 assists), one interception for 53 yards, one touchdown, and two pass breakups in four preseason games. Baskerville spent the season on the practice squad and became a free agent after the 2024 season.
Collegiately, Baskerville played five seasons at LSU (2018-22) making 260 tackles (128 solos, 132 assists), 24 tackles for loss, four sacks, 12 pass breakups, one forced fumble, two interceptions for 83 yards, and one touchdown in 54 games for the Tigers.
