The Ottawa Redblacks signed draft pick King Ambers, running back Elijah Collins, defensive lineman Jason Williams, defensive back Charlie Ringland, and placed defensive back Tunde Adeleke on the retired list on Monday according to the CFL Transactions page.
King Ambers is six foot three and weighs 191 pounds. The 25-year-old from Pickering, Ontario, was drafted by the Ottawa Redblacks in the eighth round (68th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Ambers played four seasons at East Texas A&M University (2021-24) making 59 tackles (35 solos, 24 assists), 4.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions for 13 yards, seven pass breakups, one forced fumble, and two kick returns for 36 yards in 37 games for the Lions.
In 2024, Ambers made 29 tackles (15 solos, 14 assists), one tackle for loss, one interception, two pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 13 games.
Elijah Collins is six foot and weighs 212 pounds. The 24-year-old from Detroit, Michigan, signed with the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024. In 2024, he had 10 carries for 29 yards, four catches for 39 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in three preseason games. The Bengals released him on August 27, 2024.
Collegiately, Collins played five seasons at Michigan State (2018-22) with 353 carries for 1,506 yards, 11 touchdowns, 36 catches for 260 yards, one touchdown, and six tackles (2 solos, 6 assists) in 26 games for the Spartans. He was named Third Team All-Big Ten in 2019.
Then, he transferred to Oklahoma State in 2023 with 30 carries for 142 yards, two touchdowns, two catches for 19 yards, one kick return for 10 yards, and two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in 10 games for the Cowboys.
Jason Williams is six foot two and weighs 290 pounds. A native of Ocoee, Florida, Williams made 41 tackles (19 solos, 22 assists), 8.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, one fumble recovery, and one touchdown in seven games for the Central Michigan Chippewas. He was named Third Team All-MAC by Phil Steele and College Football Network in 2024.
Collegiately, Williams played four seasons at Central Michigan (2021-24) making 108 tackles (50 solos, 58 assists), 18 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, one fumble recovery, and one touchdown in 49 games for the Chippewas.
Charlie Ringland is six foot one and weighs 198 pounds. The 25-year-old from Winnipeg, Manitoba, was drafted by the B.C. Lions in the fifth round (43rd pick) of the 2023 CFL Draft. He missed the entire 2023 season after tearing his ACL during the CFL Combine.
In 2024, Ringland appeared in two preseason games making one tackle. He spent the regular season on the practice squad. The Lions released him on November 3, 2024. B.C. re-signed Ringland on November 18, 2024. The Lions released him on May 2, 2025.
Collegiately, Ringland played four seasons at the University of Saskatchewan (2018-22) with 97 tackles (86 solos, 25 assists), 2 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 4 interceptions for 9 yards, 15 pass breakups, 3 forced fumbles, and 1 fumble recovery in 38 games for the Huskies. In the 2022 Hardy Cup, Ringland made three interceptions in a win over Manitoba. In addition, he was named a Canada West All-Star in 2022.
Tunde Adeleke is five foot ten and weighs 208 pounds. The 29-year-old from Lagos, Nigeria, signed with the Ottawa Redblacks on February 11, 2025.
The Calgary Stampeders drafted Adeleke in the third round (25th pick) of the 2017 CFL Draft. He played two seasons in Calgary making 45 tackles, 24 tackles on special teams, three pass breakups, three fumble recoveries, one forced fumble, one touchdown, two sacks, six kick returns for 119 yards, 30 punt returns for 383 yards, and two touchdowns in 29 games. He helped the Stampeders win the Grey Cup in 2018.
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed Adeleke as a free agent on February 12, 2019. In 2023, he made 31 tackles and three tackles on special teams in ten games.
He played four seasons in Hamilton with 195 tackles, 10 tackles on special teams, one forced fumble, three sacks, five interceptions for 35 yards, two missed field goal returns for 52 yards, and four punt returns for 27 yards in 58 games. He was named a CFL All-Star in 2019 and a two-time CFL East All-Star in 2019 and 2021.
The Toronto Argonauts signed Adeleke on February 13, 2024. In 2024, he made 15 tackles and one tackle on special teams in 10 games. In the 111th Grey Cup, he made two tackles helping the Argonauts beat the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 41-24 to win their second Grey Cup title in three seasons.
Collegiately, Adeleke played four seasons at Carleton University (2013-16) making 150 tackles (104 solos, 46 assists), four tackles for loss, four interceptions, ten pass breakups, 44 kick returns for 1,152 yards, 122 punt returns for 1,950 yards, and nine touchdowns in 31 games for the Ravens.
