
The B.C. Lions signed wide receiver David Durden and released wide receiver Victor Bolden Jr. and defensive back Charlie Ringland on Friday according to the CFL Transactions page.
David Durden is six foot two and weighs 200 pounds. The 26-year-old from Twin City, Georgia, signed with the Arlington Renegades on December 20, 2024. He did not play a game for the Renegades in 2025. The Renegades released him on April 28, 2025.
The Dallas Cowboys signed Durden as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. In 2023, Durden suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament and missed the entire season. In 2024, he made one catch for 16 yards in one preseason game. The Cowboys released him on September 2, 2024.
Collegiately, Durden played two seasons at Mercer (2018-19) making 63 catches for 1,054 yards, 9 touchdowns, completing 1 of 2 passes (50%) for 11 yards, one touchdown, 37 kick returns for 971 yards, one touchdown, eight tackles (6 solos, 2 assists), and one blocked kick in 20 games for the Bears. He was named First Team All-SoCon Conference.
Then, Durden transferred to West Florida (2021-22) making 88 catches for 1,915 yards, 23 touchdowns, five carries for 16 yards, one touchdown, six kick returns for 87 yards, and 14 punt returns for 248 yards, and one touchdown in 19 games for the Argonauts. He was named a two-time First Team All-GSC and First Team All-American by AFCA and the Associated Press.
Victor Bolden Jr. is five foot eight and weighs 178 pounds. The 30-year-old from Rancho Cucamonga, California, signed with the B.C. Lions on March 26, 2025.
The San Francisco 49ers signed Bolden as an undrafted free agent in 2017. He also had stints with the Buffalo Bills and the Detroit Lions.
The Birmingham Stallions drafted Bolden in the 13th round (102nd pick) of the 2022 USFL Draft. Bolden made 42 catches for 415 yards, one touchdown, 25 kick returns for 618 yards, and 41 punt returns for 176 yards in nine games for the Stallions in 2022.
In the playoffs, Bolden made seven catches for 66 yards, one touchdown, seven kick returns for 258 yards, and one touchdown. He helped the Stallions win the USFL Championship in 2022 and was named MVP. In addition, he made the USFL All-Star Team.
The Arlington Renegades signed Bolden on March 22, 2023. In 2023, he made three catches for 40 yards in two games for the Arlington Renegades winning the XFL Championship over the D.C. Defenders. After the XFL season, Bolden Jr. spent time with the Denver Broncos and the Houston Texans.
The Birmingham Stallions re-signed Bolden Jr. on September 26, 2023. The Stallions released him on March 21, 2024.
Collegiately, Bolden played four seasons at Oregon State (2013-16) making 170 catches for 1,863 yards, seven touchdowns, 95 carries for 727 yards, three touchdowns, 108 kick returns for 2,420 yards, three touchdowns, 19 punt returns for 186 yards, and one touchdown in 48 games for the Beavers.
Charlie Ringland is six foot one and weighs 198 pounds. The 25-year-old from Winnipeg, Manitoba, was drafted by the B.C. Lions in the fifth round (43rd pick) of the 2023 CFL Draft. He missed the entire 2023 season after tearing his ACL during the CFL Combine.
In 2024, Ringland appeared in two preseason games making one tackle. He spent the regular season on the practice squad. The Lions released him on November 3, 2024. B.C. re-signed Ringland on November 18, 2024.
Collegiately, Ringland played four seasons at the University of Saskatchewan (2018-22) with 97 tackles (86 solos, 25 assists), 2 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 4 interceptions for 9 yards, 15 pass breakups, 3 forced fumbles, and 1 fumble recovery in 38 games for the Huskies. In the 2022 Hardy Cup, Ringland made three interceptions in a win over Manitoba. In addition, he was named a Canada West All-Star in 2022.
