
The Toronto Argonauts selected eight players in the 2025 CFL Draft on Tuesday night. Here are the players headed to Toronto.
Jeremiah Ojo is six foot two and weighs 246 pounds. The 24-year-old from Montreal, Quebec, was drafted by the Toronto Argonauts in the first round (7th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft. He will attend the New York Giants rookie minicamp.
Collegiately, Ojo played four seasons at the University of Montreal (2021-24) making 62 tackles (46 solos, 16 assists), 17 tackles for loss, one interception, five forced fumbles, and two pass breakups in 24 games for the Carabins.
Paris Shand is six foot four and weighs 268 pounds. The 23-year-old from Toronto, Ontario, was drafted by the Toronto Argonauts in the second round (19th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft. Shand signed with the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent on April 26, 2025.
Collegiately, Shand played three seasons at Arizona (2020-22) making 41 tackles (22 solos, 19 assists), 5.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 23 games for the Wildcats.
Then, he transferred to LSU (2023-24) making 41 tackles (15 solos, 26 assists), nine tackles for loss, four sacks, and three pass breakups in 25 games for the Tigers.
Gavin Coakes is six foot four and weighs 315 pounds. The 22-year-old from Winnipeg, Manitoba, was drafted by the Toronto Argonauts in the fourth round (29th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Coakes played four seasons at the University of Alberta (2021-24) playing 36 games for the Thunderbirds. In 2024, UBC averaged 27.67 points per game, 148.4 rushing yards per game, 310.78 passing yards per game, 442.4 total yards per game, 29 touchdowns, and allowed 10 sacks finishing 5-4 for the season.
Istvan Assibo-Dadzie is six foot and weighs 190 pounds. The 23-year-old from Brampton, Ontario, was drafted by the Toronto Argonauts in the fourth round (30th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Assibo-Dadzie played three seasons at the University of Windsor (2021-23) making 84 tackles (51 solos, 33 assists), half a tackle for loss, one sack, three interceptions, seven pass breakups, and two fumble recoveries in 22 games for the Lancers.
Jaylen Rayam is six foot one and weighs 220 pounds. The 24-year-old from Alabaster, Alabama, was drafted by the Toronto Argonauts in the fifth round (46th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Rayam played four seasons at the University of Alabama-Birmingham (2018, 2020-22) making 18 tackles (7 solos, 11 assists), 1.5 tackles for loss, and one sack in 20 games for the Blazers. Next, he transferred to Middle Tennessee State (2022-23) making 38 tackles (19 solos, 19 assists), three tackles for loss, and half a sack in 14 games for the Blue Raiders. Then, he transferred to UTEP in 2024 making one tackle (1 solo) in one game for the Miners.
Joey Zorn is six foot two and weighs 205 pounds. The 24-year-old from Flint, Michigan, was drafted by the Toronto Argonauts in the sixth round (55th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Zorn played three seasons at the University of Windsor (2022-24) with 307 carries for 2,190 yards, eight touchdowns, 49 catches for 480 yards, two touchdowns, four kick returns for 75 yards, and three punt returns for 38 yards in 26 games for the Lancers.
Ethan Pyle is six foot two and weighs 284 pounds. The 23-year-old from Milton, Ontario, was drafted by the Toronto Argonauts in the seventh round (64th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Pyle played five seasons at the University of Guelph (2020-24) playing 30 games for the Gryphons. In 2024, Guelph averaged 31.10 points per game, 207.1 rushing yards per game, 261.80 passing yards per game, 449.4 total yards per game, 36 touchdowns, and allowed 30 sacks finishing 7-3 for the season.
DeEmetrius Masuka is six foot two and weighs 220 pounds. The 22-year-old from Hamilton, Ontario, was drafted by the Toronto Argonauts in the eighth round (72nd pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Masuka played four seasons at McMaster (2021-24) making 50 tackles (40 solos, 10 assists), 1.5 tackles for loss, four interceptions for 34 yards, and nine pass breakups in 18 games for the Marauders.
